Two best friends in faculty Mitch and Elizabeth make a pact that if in a decade after graduation they are not married they'll wed one another. Ten years after Mitch (still single) finds out Elizabeth never got married so he decides to travel across the nation, find her and follow through on their pact. That which he soon realizes is how that it will be a simple as he said.
