Old Gringo
When school teacher Harriet Winslow proceeds to Mexico to show, she's kidnapped by Gen. Tomas Arroyo and his revolutionaries. A aging American, Ambrose"Old Gringo" Bierce also in Mexico, Be-friends Gen. Arroyo and matches Harriet. Bierce is so he could determine their or her own fate, wants to keep his identity secret. Bierce tries to provoke the anger possible in a effort to have himself murdered averting suffering through his disease of the General though he likes Arroyo. Both Bierce and Arroyo intrigues winslow, and the men are in turn attracted for her. She becomes involved in Arroyo.
