The Guild
The Guild is an American comedy webseries published and created by Felicia Day, who also stars like Cyd Sherman. It premiered on July 27, 2007 on YouTube. Seasons two webisodes premiered on MSN Video, Zune Market Place, and Microsoft's Xbox Live Market Place. The webisodes were made available on YouTube, the official Guild web site, along with iTunes. As stated by Day,'' the business model of Microsoft shifted after season five. Day wanted to maintain ownership, so the episode premieres transferred to Day's YouTube channel Geek & sun dry. The webisodes may also be available via streaming and DVD on Hulu along with Netflix.
The show revolves around the lifetime of a gamers' online guild, Good's Knights, who play with countless hours of a fantasy MMORPG video game entitled The Game. The narrative focuses on Codex, the guild's Priestess, who attempts to lead an ordinary life after each of her guildmates shows up on her door step.
Joss Whedon credits The Guild as one of the inspirations for Dr. Horrible's Singalong Website, which also starred Felicia Day.
The season premiered on October 2, 2012 on Geek & sun dry.
At a phone interview following the finish of the sixth season, Felicia Day confirmed that The Guild webseries is complete.
