Miracles
Miracles is an American drama television program starring Skeet Ulrich and Angus Macfadyen. Created by Richard Hatem and Michael Petroni, the series has sometimes been dubbed as a"spiritual model of The xfiles" by its creators. David Greenwalt, following pilot, co-creator of Angel functioned as the show's executive producer and head writer for the twelve episodes.
Miracles follows Paul Callan, an investigator of modern miracles for the Catholic Church that questions his faith after finding mundane explanations for assumed happenings. After he witnesses a real, unnatural miracle that saves his life, only because of his findings to be dismissed on a scarcity of signs, Paul leaves behind the Church and is approached by Alva Keel to combine his company Sodalitas Quaerito, exploring and cataloguing"unexplainable" happenings. Along with former officer Evelyn Santos, both Paul and Alva attempt to combat the impending"darkness" before it's too late.
The series proved as a part of ABC's new"Super Monday" line-up on January 27, 2003. Six episodes were broadcast on ABC until the show had been canceled due to low ratings, with its final broadcast episode drawing just 5.7 million viewers around March 3 1, 2003. The series had been pre empted a number of times throughout its run for a rebroadcast of the documentary special living with Michael Jackson and also other times to air cries that were newsmagazine concerning the then-developing Iraq War. Fans, angered by the rescue and that which they watched because the mismanagement of the Monday 10:00 pm time slot of the show of ABC, began a buff effort to bring back the series. Fans mailed them into networks expecting that the series will be revived by another media and composed messages on napkins efforts were unsuccessful and the series didn't last past its order of episodes.
