Hippies

1969, swinging London. From his apartment in Notting Hill Gate, Ray Purbbs edits an'underground' (which is, counter-culture ) magazine, and Mouth, aided by his fellow hippies Alex, Jill and Hugo. Ray is passionate about protest, ludicrously enthusiastic about every fashionable trend and convinced he is (or might be) a big player in the struggle between the Institution as well as the alternative society. Alex - though he also comes from a wealthy background and seems more interested in golf - is coolness personified, a man so laid-back he seems to exist out of reality. Jill embraces the new-found liberty afforded claims and her sex to espouse love that is completely free, though this attitude doesn't elongate to her'boyfriend'. Hugo is spectacularly vague, nearly glorious in his obliqueness. Led by Ray, the quartet fail to make the slightest little difference and hop on every bandwagon that is fashionable. The gang will be useless at everything - in actuality, they aren't even that good in being hippies.
