Big Day
Big Day is now an American situation comedy that aired on ABC from November 28, 2006 to January 30, 2007. The series had been co-produced from Josh Goldsmith and Cathy Yuspa and led by Michael Spiller for Sony Pictures Television. In Canada, the series aired on CanWest's Global and CH stations.
Originally, it was designed to launch October 5, 2006, along with Notes by the under belly, however, ABC made a lastminute shift on its schedule by simply moving Ugly Betty into Thursday, thus replacing both sitcoms whose"buzz" was not especially promising.
Big Day was broadcast on Tuesdays 8:00c. The time-slot was to be filled by another new sit com that had an improved"buzz," The Knights of Prosperity, however, ABC transferred that app to Wednesdays to create Big Day important. According to the ratings, Big Day turned out to be a ratings disappointment.
When Substantial Day ended its season on January 30, 2007, just 12 of those 13 episodes aired leaving the episode unaired.
On May 15, 2007, ABC officially declared the series after the network announced their 2007-2008 autumn schedule.
A film on the basis of the series was cancelled in development. In 2010, a re-version of the movie adaptation is now at Pre-Production.
